This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern
Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight


A Tornado Watch is in effect until early this evening for parts
of southeast Missouri, southern Illinois, and western Kentucky,
and southwest Indiana. Refer to the Tornado Watch for details.

A Flood Watch is in effect until 7 AM CDT Thursday for parts
of southeast Missouri, southern Illinois, and western Kentucky,
and southwest Indiana.. Refer to the Flood Watch for details.

An outbreak of severe thunderstorms will continue for much of the
region this afternoon and evening. Tornadoes, some of which could
be strong, destructive straight line winds, and very large hail
are all possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday


No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is requested through late tonight. Spotters
should relay storm reports to NWS Paducah through the spotter
hotline, spotter text line, or via social media.

The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Franklin County in south central Illinois...
Williamson County in southern Illinois...

* Until 745 PM CDT.

* At 357 PM CDT, radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain
with a public report of street flooding in Marion along IL-37 and
Market Street. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in
the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Public reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Marion, Herrin, West Frankfort, Benton, Carterville, Johnston
City, Christopher, Rend Lake Area, Sesser, Zeigler, Crainville,
Cambria, Royalton, Energy, Hurst, Valier, West City, Pittsburg,
Thompsonville and Creal Springs.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, including the following
areas, Alexander, Franklin, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jackson,
Johnson, Massac, Perry IL, Pope, Pulaski, Saline, Union, White and
Williamson, southwest Indiana, including the following areas,
Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh and Warrick, and southeast Missouri,
including the following areas, Bollinger, Cape Girardeau,
Mississippi, New Madrid, Perry MO, Scott, Stoddard and Wayne MO.

* WHEN...Through Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms will produce
heavy rainfall capable of flooding commonly flood prone
areas. These storms will also have a tendency to repeat their
heavy rains over the same areas. Rainfall totals may approach
2 to 4 inches in total and could be locally higher in some
locations.
